Subject: Westpac Banking Corporation - Trading Halt of Securities

Message:
NZX Regulation (“NZXR”) advises, at the request of the company, that it has placed a trading halt on Westpac Banking Corporation (“WBC”) ordinary shares and debt securities (“WBC010”). The trading halt was placed at pre market open this morning.

The trading halt has been put in place, at WBC’s request, pending the release of an announcement by WBC.

The halt will remain until the earlier of:
- An announcement by WBC in relation its WBC’s 2018 Full Year Financial Results; or
- The open of trading on 6 November 2018.
